Fiddlers Competition at the Butterprint Farm
October 11th at 1:30pm

Will they fiddle or will they fuddle. Enjoy some very impressive fiddle music by talented artists of all ages. Competitions will be held on stage in the barn or on the porch of the Stassen Farmstead. There is no registration fee for the competition. There is a junior, intermediate, and senior category and ribbon awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th places in each category. A monetary gift and farm honey is given to all winners. Awards will be given out after the competition. So if you feel like rosining up your bow and playing a tune or two, register by calling the Butterprint Farm at (708) 534-8801 or email the farm at Butterprintfarm@ATT.net.

Musician Rick Pickren
October 18th at 12pm & 2pm

A direct descendant of Buffalo Bill Cody, Rick has played with musical greats such as Merle Haggard, Steve Earle, and B.J. Thomas! His program: Gateway to the American West in Story & Song is sponsored by the Illinois Humanities Council.

Musician Tony Scarimbolo
October 10th, 24th and 31st at 2pm

Old time string pickin! If it has strings Tony can play it. Tony will be playing early American music, but if you have a song in mind that you would like to hear, I'll bet Tony can play it.

October 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th at 2pm

Dubbed Northern Illinois' best bluegrass band. "If you miss seeing this band, you ain't gonna be happy"!
