Our name Butterprint Farm comes from the seed capsule of a plant called
Velvet Leaf. This common agricultural weed originally found in our back prairie was
used to make pretty patterns in home-churned butter by the early pioneers.
While you are here.....
enjoy a 3/4 mile round trip hayride. Go across the creek to the pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin.
We have grown over 15 varieties of pumpkins. We also grow squash, gourds, and popping corn as well as have local
farm honey, Indian corn, hardy winter mums, straw, cornstalks, and apples. Get lost in our Scarecrow Corn Maze. |
